Logitech MX Master 2S is a fantastic mouse, no question about it, but it can be a bit buggy on Mac. I actually had to replace one recently after a few frustrating hours.
When the new mouse arrived, everything was perfect for a few weeks. But yesterday I encounter another problem. I use macOS Mojave 10.14.2 by the way. There was a Logitech Software Update and suddenly some functionality of the mouse stopped. I could move the cursor and click however the scrolling and function buttons did not work.
So annoying, left it as it was but this morning had to either solve it or send it back.
Luckily the solution is quite simple. I think that Mac is a great OS and the more I use it the more I like it. I also learn more about it and can solve more problems now. I get the impression that some security features are a bit of an overkill.
To sort this out and get your Logitech mouse scroll and work again, you need to go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy and then choose from the left menu Accessibility. You should see Logitech Option Deamon but, if you have the same problem, the tick box is blank. To get it working again you need to mark it and then restart your Mac. It the box was ticked, it will not hurt to unmark it and then mark it again and restart your Mac.
