I’m trying to record some sound on my mac but the recording is very quiet. I think that it is due to some setting in microphone but I cannot find it. How to change mike sensitivity on Mac? Or, perhaps, something else is causing it?
To make your mike more or less sensitive, go to the Preferences > Sound. Then you need to click the Input tab.
Check if the correct microphone is selected and use the Volume Input setting to select correct sensitivity (you can use the slide while talking to the mike to see the level).
