How to transfer files from Android phone to Mac

In today’s tutorial, you will learn how to transfer photos and other files from Android to Mac computer.

We know that many big companies create so-called ecosystems, an environment and functionality that works seamlessly together. It is a case with Apple where, all iPhones, iPads and Mac computers work well together. And to a certain extent, it is also the case with Android devices and Windows PCs.

But what happens if we try to connect and send some photos from Android phone to Mac PC? Nothing 🙂

Yesterday it happened to me. I have recently bought a Mac mini and use it for work but because I think iPhones are overpriced, I use an Android phone (Mi MIX 2S to be more specific). So yesterday I wanted to upload a short unboxing video from my phone to my Mac. I connected both devices via USB cable but nothing happened. The computer did not recognize the Android system and the file transfer was not possible.

But after doing some research online I found the way, I managed to connect my Android Phone to Mac and transfer the files. BTW, if you want to transfer one or two small files, it might be easier to connect two devices via Bluetooth. However, transferring large files like videos via Bluetooth is problematic, so you can follow the steps below.

How do I change my iPhone lock screen wallpaper?

If you are asking yourself the question How do I change my iPhone lock screen wallpaper? this tutorial is for you 🙂 I will show you how to do it in less than 2 minutes.

Before we start, a short explanation. As you probably know, there are two types of Screen behaviours on the iPhone. You see your Home screen when your iPhone is unlocked when you can tap the icons and use apps. The Locked Screen, as the name suggests, is visible when your iPhone is locked.

In this tutorial, we will focus on changing iPhone lock screen wallpaper but changing home screen is pretty much the same (you use the image and you are asked if you want to set this up as Home Screen, as Lock Screen or as both).

What to do if your iPhone battery is draining fast

I recently swapped my Android phone with an iPhone and although I am relatively happy with this change, I have noticed that my iPhone battery is not great. It usually lasts for the whole day but only because I do not use my phone that much. I suspect that with a bit heavier usage, I would have to recharge it during the day. And this is a relatively new iPhone 🙁

How to record screencast videos on iPhone

I noticed a few questions on our forum asking how to record a screencast video on iPhone, so I decided to create a tutorial showing the whole process. This should work with iPhone xs, xr and other iPhones with iOS 12.

Screen record your iPhone is very easy since Apple included a Screen Recording app, especially for this purpose. The problem is, that Screen Recording is not very visible and for that reason, many people struggle to find it and use it. So let’s start by finding the app first.

I send pictures to my computer all the time and before when I had an Android phone, I was usually attaching them to my emails and sending them to myself 🙂 Then, I would go to my PC, log on my Gmail account and go to sent folder. This worked fine but, luckily, there’s even an easier way to send files on Apple products. This way is called Airdrop. With AirDrop, you can instantly share your documents, photos, videos, and more with other Apple devices that are nearby.
